Five Amazing Physical Feats Your Cat Can Do

Five Amazing Physical Feats Your Cat Can Do

Last fortnight we talked about five amazing things your dog can do. They're basically superheroes! This fortnight, we wanted to talk about the fantastic feline! Here are five amazing things cats can do that should win them an olympic medal, or keys to the city!

One. Jump Six Times Their Body Length

That’s right—an average housecat can launch themselves up to 6 times their body length in a single bound. That’s like a human jumping over a school bus. Vertical leap? No problem.

Two. Squeeze Through Spaces the Width of Their Heads

Cats' amazing skills don't come from practice, but from their literal biology. Thanks to their flexible collarbones and narrow shoulders, cats can squeeze through shockingly tight spaces—as long as their head fits, their body will follow.

Three. Turn into Liquid

Okay, not literally—but have you ever seen a cat melt into a bowl, a vase, or a cardboard box two sizes too small? Their spines have more vertebrae than humans, making them incredibly flexible—and hilariously ooze-like. They'll sits where they fits, even if they have to completely manipulate their spine!

Four. Rotate Their Ears 180 Degrees

Each cat ear is controlled by 32 individual muscles, allowing them to rotate independently and pinpoint the tiniest sounds from all directions. They can hunt with their eyes AND their ears at the same time!

Five. Climb Walls (Pretty Much)

Have you ever seen a cat scale a wall or doorframe with their claws like Spider-Cat? With retractable claws and tons of upper body strength, they can climb trees, screens, and even curtains with wild ease.

Nature is wild—and so are our cats.
At Pawganic, we believe in fuelling that feline power with real, raw, organic nutrition that supports their inner jungle cat. They have a lot in common with their wild counterparts, including teeth, jaw and gut designed to digest raw food!
